    Friday 25th April 2025

    This week Year 5 started their new P.E. topic of dodgeball. We decided to warm up by playing bench ball. There was a lot of fantastic teamwork involved, and we were all supportive and encouraging of one another. We can't wait to play again next week.

    This week in Year 5 we created our own play scripts based on Macbeth. After we planned them, we then got into groups to perform them to the rest of the class. We really enjoyed demonstrating our performing skills.

    This week we have been looking at the planets in our solar system. We went outside and looked at the relative distance of the planets from one another. We then created a fact file about the planets in our solar system.

    This week in Year 5 we were learning about the last supper. We decided to act this out and look at the symbols used during the last supper. We learnt about the importance of the body and blood of Christ and also consolidated our understanding of who all the disciples were.

    This week, Year 5 and Year 1 worked together to learn about friendship. The Year 5s helped the Year 1s gather ideas on what makes a good friend, and they wrote sentences together. They all had a lot of fun and want to work together again.
