This week Reception have been busy with final rehearsals and the performance of their Nativity. They really enjoyed this, and we hope you enjoyed watching it! They have also been working very hard making Christmas wreaths and practising their maths and phonics.

This week, Reception have been preparing for the Christmas Fair by building a snowman with Ms Braybrooke that will be used in one of the stalls.  The children had fun painting it and gave it a name, "Softy". 

This week, Reception had a fun week painting our diva lamps, learning about Baptism, and we even attended our very first school assembly.

This week, Reception have been looking at Lilian Bader for black history month. To celebrate her determination and achievement in working for the RAF, the class painted their own planes, and we composed a poem together. We have also been reading a lot as we do every week. Have a very good half-term...

This week in Reception we have had lots of fun in forest school finding autumn leaves and making necklaces with them. We discussed the different seasons and the nature we found. We have also been exploring the number four, it's different shapes and how to describe. 

This week reception have been exploring construction outside taking lots of opportunities to build (and also knock down). We have been continuing our theme of " It's good to be me" and getting to know fairy tales and nursery rhymes - we even acted out the story of The Three Billy Goats...
